Sankōin, in Honchō, Koganei (Tokyo), is the kind of neighborhood temple that quietly resets your pace. Step through the gate and the city feels a little farther away—trees, a calm precinct, and the soft rhythm of local life taking over. It’s an easy stop during a walk around Koganei: a place to breathe, offer a simple prayer, and notice the season in small details. If you’re unsure about etiquette, follow the basics—rinse your hands at the basin, offer a coin, and take a moment of gratitude. A gentle detour that makes an ordinary stroll feel special.
Up to 32 participants can join per group. (For groups exceeding 32 people, please make a reservation at least 2 weeks in advance.)
